We are currently recruiting a Licensed Actuary to join our Jamaica office as the Director of Actuarial Services. This is a senior-level opportunity for a forward-thinking actuarial leader who thrives in a results-oriented and innovative environment.

🔍 Position Summary:

As Director of Actuarial Services, you will spearhead the design, development, and execution of Dawgen Global’s actuarial service offerings across Jamaica and eventually the wider Caribbean. You will be responsible for regulatory compliance, client consulting, actuarial valuations, and strategic growth.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage Dawgen Global’s Actuarial Services Division

• Conduct actuarial valuations for pension funds, insurance reserves, employee benefits, and risk management

• Provide leadership on pricing, reserving, solvency, and capital adequacy for insurance clients

• Ensure compliance with Jamaican regulatory frameworks (FSC, Pensions Act, Insurance Act) and international standards (IFRS, APS1)

• Build and lead a high-performing actuarial team

• Represent Dawgen Global in professional and regulatory forums

• Support business development by contributing to proposals, presentations, and client relationship management

✅ Required Qualifications:

• Fellowship with a recognized actuarial body such as:

  • Society of Actuaries (FSA)

  • Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA)

  • Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA)

  • Or similar accreditation accepted by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) Jamaica

• A license to practice as an actuary in Jamaica or the ability to obtain one

• Minimum 8 years of relevant actuarial experience, including leadership or consulting roles

• Demonstrated expertise in life or general insurance, pensions, and/or employee benefits

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
