Governance, Risk & Assurance Lead
Help organizations scale AI without losing control
The Opportunity
Dawgen Global is seeking a Governance, Risk & Assurance Lead to make sure AI is implemented with clear accountability, working controls, reliable evidence and readiness for assurance.
Within the Forward-Deployed AI Transformation Group you will own AI governance, control design, compliance, evidence and assurance readiness — turning governance principles into controls that operate in day-to-day work.
What You Will Do
Govern
- Conduct AI governance maturity assessments and classify AI use cases by risk.
- Design AI governance frameworks, policies, roles and governance RACI structures.
- Assess human-oversight requirements; define AI-agent decision rights and escalation thresholds.
Control
- Design and test controls; maintain risk and control registers.
- Evaluate third-party AI risk, and privacy, compliance and regulatory considerations.
- Define evidence, documentation and audit-trail requirements.
Assure and report
- Evaluate assurance readiness and coordinate independent validation of controls before higher-risk scaling.
- Support management and board reporting.
- Contribute to TRUST360™ AI Governance-as-a-Service and AI Content Assurance & Provenance Review engagements.
Your First 90 Days
- Draft the Group's governance guardrails, AI risk classification and minimum control checklist.
- Risk-classify the client-zero use cases.
- Lead the governance workstream of the first lighthouse sprint.
What You Bring
Essential
- 6+ years in internal or external audit, technology risk, IT audit, risk advisory, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity assurance, governance or responsible AI.
- Strong grasp of risk and control frameworks and experience evaluating technology controls.
- Strong documentation and evidence-assessment skills, with sound professional judgement and scepticism.
- Understanding of AI governance principles, privacy and data governance.
- Clear written and executive communication.
Advantageous
- CIA, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CPA, CA, ACCA or a comparable qualification. Strong practical capability may substitute for a specific certification.
What Success Looks Like
Improvement in governance maturity; control pass rates; risk-classification coverage; closure of high-risk exceptions; evidence quality; assurance readiness; and board-quality reporting.
