Cyber

security

Protection for your systems, data and reputation — proportionate to the risks you face.

Cyber incidents now affect Caribbean businesses of every size — from ransomware that halts operations to email fraud that redirects payments. Attackers increasingly target smaller organisations precisely because their defences are weaker.

Dawgen Global helps you assess your exposure, strengthen your defences and prepare your response. Our approach is practical: we focus first on the controls that prevent the most common and most damaging attacks, and build maturity over time.

The challenge

Most cyber incidents exploit basic gaps: weak passwords, unpatched systems, untested backups and untrained staff. Many organisations believe they are too small to be targeted — until a payment is diverted, records are encrypted or client data is exposed. Regulators, insurers and clients are also beginning to require evidence of cyber controls.

Who it is for

  • Businesses that hold client, financial or personal data
  • Companies taking online payments or operating e-commerce
  • Organisations with remote or hybrid staff
  • Regulated entities with data protection obligations
  • Leadership teams that want to understand their real exposure

Signs you need us

  • You have never had an independent assessment of your IT security
  • Backups exist but have never been tested for recovery
  • Staff access critical systems with shared or weak credentials
  • You have experienced attempted payment fraud or suspicious emails
  • A client, insurer or regulator has asked about your cyber controls

How it works in practice

Illustrative example. A professional services firm received payment instructions that appeared to come from a long-standing client but were fraudulent — the payment was diverted. We reviewed their payment controls, introduced out-of-band verification for any change of account details, trained the finance team, and built a simple incident response plan. Subsequent attempts have been caught before payment.

Where we work

We offer all of our services in every territory we serve, with every engagement planned, reviewed and quality-controlled from our Caribbean headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica. Some regulated services are performed by affiliated firms; we will advise you of the arrangements when you make a request.

Frequently asked questions

We are a small business. Are we really a target?
Yes — attackers target smaller organisations precisely because defences tend to be weaker, especially through email fraud and ransomware.
How much does a cyber assessment cost?
It depends on the size of your environment. A focused assessment of a small business is typically a fixed, modest engagement — far less than the cost of an incident.
Will your assessment disrupt our systems?
No. Reviews are designed to be non-intrusive; any testing that could affect operations is agreed and scheduled with you.
What should we do if we think we have been breached?
Contact us immediately. Disconnect affected systems where possible, preserve evidence, and do not pay any ransom before taking advice.
How are your fees set?
Our fees are tailored to each client, based on the scope and complexity of the work and the agreed deliverables, and are set out in your engagement letter.
